i saw these last season but didnt need broadheads. they look interesting, has anyone used these, if so what do you think? thanks

Crimson Broadheads Broadheads with 90° blade alignment often cut parallel to tension lines in muscle and hide - these wounds close quickly with minimal bleeding. Crimson Talon Broadheads' 59.8° Offset Kore-Kut™ blades slash a Spiral Wound Channel™ that completely disrupts the flesh's ability to seal. This results in a gaping wound that pours blood, kills quicker and makes recovery easier.

the stand is a bit bulky , requires a few people to set up safely , but what a view ... no trees needed , for hunting in thick briers near beds in late season it should work well or over the cornfield...its complete with padded swivel seat, shooting rails , about a 3'x3' platform...
i may adapt a blind for the shooting rail to " half box it"....

Nice bow, my bud's shop sells quite a few of them! I love being able to adjust my bow WITHOUT a bow press.

That said, my Hoyt needed some string peep adjustment (rotation not perfect), so I had to play the twist game.
My bud's shop has one of the new bow presses that runs on an electric motor, compresses the bow only at the limb tips
(bow held horizontal). I believe it is a "Last Chance Archery" press.

I don't think I can ever use one of the riser/limb opposing compression types again!

This design should keep other supposed techs from twisting risers or blowing limbs. I've seen too many bows tweaked by other shops :-(

How about "old gear" reviews?

I tossed an old pair of Hodgman cold weather boots yesterday, had them since '98. Man I hate losing old friends.

That said, some stuff I use all the time, and have had for years.

Tree steps: EZY screw ins are the best (if you can use them in your areas). I've got some from '85 still in use. Not cheap, but man they go in and out easier than anything else. They do kinda suck, if you stuff them in pockets, as they are sharp and will tear up your clothing over time.

Tree stand: Heavy but solid, and very comfortable.......my Old Man Tara hang on. LOVE IT. I think Gorilla made a version for a year or two (Chinese) and last year at the ATA show Ol' Man was back, but the beloved green machine was also being made in China :-( Mine is an old US built one. I'm on the hunt for minty US made ones (need maybe two).

A cool gadget: The "Strapper Retriever". Yeah it's a glorified haul line, but once you get used to it, you'll want one for every stand. Nothing fancy, just a cool item that makes rope burn pretty much a thing of the past...........also I've NEVER had a bow or gun come loose, even slightly, from using it.

I wouldn't fall for the hype. Any decent 3 blade should make a hole instead of a slit (like a 2 blade).

By my thinking, if it works good for recurves it should work better for compounds, so I hedge my bets on getting a hole all the way through by going with cut on contact head (that then being "decent").

i just bought some trusty muzzys. i ve used those since having failure with the mechanicals years ago.
as for old gear reviews.. i really love this free flight wrist release it might not look comfortable but it is.i have had for years.

this is what cabelas says about it. Free Flight Release incorporates a unique glove design that distributes a bow's pull across the hand and wrist, making it seem like your bow is 10 lbs. less in draw weight. Because the trigger and release mechanism lie in the palm of your hand, this release will not add draw length and is always in position, ready for action. heres this link if you want to know more about it. free flight
